The Bandaloop: "We call ourselfs elektro performance poppers, in your face!"

Tomorrow we will listen to the songs that are going to compete in the Austrian final this year so im here to show you an interview i did with one of their finalists, they are working on conquering the Eurovision song contest 2013 and i like them a lot. Here are the answers of the fabulous BARCA BAXANT from THE BANDALOOP:

What’s your strangest talent? maybe … making strangers telling me personal - and a lot of - things about themselfs
Do you have any nicknames? almost every dear person in my life has their own name for me
Home alone and your bored. What do you do? the last time alone (which was very long time ago), i was watching american serial-killer-documentaries on youtube
What are you really good at? performing on stage
What are you really bad at? interviews, flirting, cooking (pretty bad)
Childhood idol: my 4 years older friend, who sadly already passed away. she was the only person i wanned to swop life´s with (back then)
Tell me something no one knows about you: thought about it  and decided rather not to tell "you" ;) 
What would you do if you were invisible? stealing (comes to mind first)
Favorite movie: hair (roman polansky ... it´s a family thing)
Tell me a super power you wish you had.: strength - so i could always defend myself with my bare hands
What's your favorite part of your body? my ankles
Tell me one of your insecurities: not knowing much what goes or went around in the world (historic-wise for example)
What is your guilty pleasure? that would be something no one knows about me ... so no comment again, i´m afraid ;)
Can you teach me some interesting/bad words in German?
not very interesting, but effective to release anger: verfickte hure/ arschloch (you can choose female/male).
Tell me some of your bad habits: sometimes laughing through my nose instead out loud (my best friens´s allergic to that)
wanting to have everything on the "right" place / almost a "monk (tv-guy) - tidiness"
too fast drinking (alc)

Whats up? Are you getting ready for the final?
with every inch of our hearts!
How do you feel right now?
very happy cos exhausted of working for the band so much. yes! that´s how i like it! that´s the life (i always wanned)

Tell me everything about The Bandaloop, How did you guys meet? why the name?
justin case used to be the live bassist in my former band "silicone pumpgun". we got together as a love-couple, started to do music with eatchother after half a year even though i told myself never ever to do music with one of my boyfriends. i just couldn´t resist his good sound and wanned to be part of it.

mike blitz used to play the drums in justin case´s band "100min/h" and joined tbl as our live-drummer right from the beginning 2010, when we started playing live a lot.

our name: regarding to tom robbin´s book "jitterbug perfume", you stay young forever when dancing the "bandaloop-dance"
How would you describe the band?
we call ourselfs elektro performance poppers. in your face! 

You are one of the 6 5 finalists of the Austrian national final. How did it all begin?
little correction: it´s only 5 finalists.
the austrian song contest team asked us if we wanted to take part. and here we are!

We have no clue about the song, so what can you tell me about it? What is the song about? do you know when are we going to listen it?
song´s called BACK TO FANTASY & it´s all about taking one back to the positive emotions in life and celebrate love and (the good) energy.

Can you describe the song with 4 words?

Did you start preparing the performance? what can we expect from the performance?
we didn´t start preparing yet. but we shot the video only yesterday ... so there were already some ideas popping up. can not wait to perform it!
we´ll probably don´t change the (our) running system and leave the performance quite loose and free for the needed and well oiled spontanity of ours

You guys look fabulous in the promotional photos of the austrian final. Do you already know  what you are going to wear for the final?
thank you! we always work with fabulous austrian fashion designers (anna aichinger, diptych, thomas kirchgrabner, gina drewes for example) and i am our own stylist - 
so we do our best to look our best! ;)

don´t know yet what it' s going to be. but it´s gonna be amusing and fun to look at for sure

What do you think about the other acts in the competition?
the austrian ones? very good and perfect produced songs! haven´t met guys yet though ...

What do you like about Eurovision?
it´s the biggest music tv show europe(world) wide & it brings people together. love that fact about it

What do you dislike about Eurovision?
some of the very bad songs over the years ...

Did you watch Eurovision 2012? what do you think about the winner?
i watched it partwise. loreen is absolutely amazing. i love her song, i think she has an extraordinary brilliant voice, has the looks and seems to be a cool person in addition!

What are you going to do if you win?
partyyyy! but there´ll be party in any case ;)

Is there anything you guys want to say to close the interview?
yeah man! thank you for your interest in us, our band! it´s a pleasure and i feel honored
