Eurovision 2016: And the winner is...

UKRAINE!
YES! YES! YES! YES! IM SO FREAKING HAPPY! I CANT BELIEVE IT! WHAT AN EXCITING NIGHT! (ALL CAPS EMOTIONS!)

I'll start by saying GOOD JOB SVT! The whole show was GREAT. Petra and Mans were phenomenal and Edward's script was brilliant. Its going to so hard to top this year's shows.

LOVE LOVE, PEACE PEACE!

Lets watch the moment of the results:
This is so crazy! I remember how mad/disappointed I was back then when she lost the Ukrainian national final in 2011, I still cant believe that a song like this one won the contest. But thats Eurovision, you never know what's going to happen. All these weeks I've seen so many "This song is too dark", "Too sad to win", "The public wont vote for a depressing song", "Eurovision is love peace party songs, not this" comments and last night the audience proved all those people wrong (2nd place in the televote). I hope the triumph of Jamala brings more different songs to the contest. We need more heart, emotions, risky entries, less over produced acts, passion on stage. Im over the moon right now and Im extremely happy for Jamala, This has been one of my favorite ESCs ever and Im glad it had a fantastic ending! GO UKRAINE! GO JAMALA!

BIG SHOUT OUT TO:
FRANCE/AMIR

SWEDEN/FRANS

AUSTRIA/ZOË

BULGARIA/POLI GENOVA

THE NETHERLANDS/DOUWE BOB

GEORGIA/NIKA KOCHAROV & YGL

LATVIA/JUSTS

Eurovision 2016 - Semifinal 2: The Results

Time to talk about the results from last nights semifinal.

I'll start with a shout out to IVAN!
His team put so much effort in the performance that I have to say that it looked pretty cool and Ivan did a nice job on stage.

Here is my ranking of the finalists:

10.Poland: Michał Szpak - Color of your life

09.Israel: Hovi Star - Made of stars

08.Australia: Dami Im - The sound of silence
I really like Dami and her vocal performance last night was great but to me the whole package is too plastic, I wouldnt to see this act winning, can you imagine the number of screaming divas we would get next year? SCARY!

07.Lithuania: Donny Montell - I've been waiting for this night
He is a good performance but the song is very "David Lindgren".

06.Bulgaria: Poli Genova - If love was a crime
This is one of the catchiest songs of this year but the performance doesnt work for me, I was expecting more energy from her, the stage looks too dark and empty and her outfit is just awful.

05.Serbia: Sanja Vučić - Goodbye
Love Sanja but I dont know why this didnt convince me, I still liked it though but I dont think it will be one of my biggest favorites in the final.

04.Belgium: Laura Tesoro - What's the pressure
Im not the biggest fan of this song but I kinda liked this performance.

02.Latvia: Justs - Heartbeat
Damn! He gave it all on stage! Im very proud of him and Aminata. Such a brilliant act, I hope it gets a good result on saturday.

02.Georgia: Nika Kocharov and Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight gold
This is probably the biggest surprise of the year for me. What a fucking amazing performance! LOVED IT! (I also love the fact that they are just there to perform and they dont care about anything else) Go Georgia!

01.Ukraine: Jamala - 1944
!!!!!! You have no idea how much I would like this to win. You might love it or hate it but I think we can all agree that Jamala's talent is out of this world. She is unbelievable and what she does on stage is so beautiful. I wish her all the best from the bottom of my heart and I hope she gives her all on saturday night. GO JAMALA! GO UKRAINE!

Eurovision 2016 - Semifinal 1: The Results

Time to post my comments about the results from tonights semifinal!

I will start with a shout out to 3 acts that didnt qualify:

ESTONIA: Jüri Pootsmann - Play
I love Jüri and his song but sadly I didnt like his eurovision performance, I really dont get why they
changed their Eesti Laul staging, that one was so much better than this magic/casino mess. I still love him though.

Montenegro: Highway - The real thing
What a performance! Great job guys!

ICELAND: Greta Salome - Hear them calling
WTF? How did this not qualify? I loved the performance but I guess the Loreen/Mans factor played against her. (Wonder why it didnt play against Russia) Iceland should be very proud cause Greta and her team did a fantastic job on stage.

FINALISTS
10.Azerbaijan: Samra - Miracle
Not the carcrash I was expecting it to be but still not a good performance. There is something good I will say about her, she has a pretty nice stage presence.

09.Malta: Ira Losco - Walk on water
I like the song but I wasnt impressed with her performance.

08.Russia: Sergey Lazarev - You're the only one
The only thing I like about this entry is Sergey. Everything else about it could be described with the word #desperation. Sadly for me this 2006 Sakis Rouvas song and its performance that looks like a homage to Koldun, Ani Lorak, Charlotte Perrelli (The girl) and Mans Zelmerlow is the most likely winner of this year. #hopeless Still there is a little part inside of me that hopes for a miracle to happen on Saturday (Not an Azeri one!)

06.Cyprus: Minus One - Alter ego
Solid performance! I really liked it!

06.Czech Republic: Gabriela G - I stand
The stage looked so beautiful during this performance but I would like to see more of Gabriela. She did such a fantastic job. Im very happy with her result!

05.Hungary: Freddie - Pioneer
He has such a distinctive voice, I love it! #hunkary

03.The Netherlands: Douwe Bob - Slow down
Douwe is a charming man and he knows how to move on stage! (That wink at the end of his performance killed me)

03.Austria: Zoë - Loin d'ici
Adorable!
02.Croatia: Nina Kraljic - Lighthouse
I liked this song since the 1st time I heard it but I was really worried about the performance cause I thought Nina didnt have that sweet aura this song needed but I was wrong and she did a great performance. She gave her all on stage and Im sure she enjoyed every second on it and thats what Eurovision is all about. Good job Nina! All the best in the final!

01.Armenia: Iveta Mukuchyan - LoveWave
WOW! Thats all Im going to say!
