The last post of 2014

Its time for the last post of this year!

Here is my Eurovision 2014 top 11!:

But before that here are some pictures of Nikolaj & Pilou (Love them):

Armenia: Aram MP3 - Not Alone
This performance wasnt one of my favorites but I love the song.

Hungary: András Kállay-Saunders - Running

Austria: Conchita Wurst - Rise Like a Phoenix
I love Conchita but she is not my winner (The song is not good enough) Still I understand why she won and Im totally fine with that cause she did a great job on stage. Her performance in the semifinal was perfect! I wish her all the best in her career!

Norway: Carl Espen - Silent Storm
This song is very special to me and Carl is such a nice guy! So glad they got a good result.

Poland: Donatan & Cleo - My Słowianie
This was so fun! I really enjoyed the performance *Shaking what my mama gave me*

Finland: Softengine - Something Better
So fucking good! They totally deserved a better result! Great job guys! So proud of them! (Buy their amazing album here: https://itunes.apple.com/fi/album/we-created-the-world/id920817123)

Switzerland: Sebalter - Hunter of stars
Love love love him! One of my winners! Its so good to see the act you supported since day 1 doing a brilliant performance. (Booo! to the juries who didnt vote for this great entry)

Sweden: Sanna Nielsen - Undo
When I watched her performance in the semifinal I was like "WOOOOW!" cause it was much better than her MF performance and thats something that doesnt happen very often. She gave her all on that stage and she got a fabulous result! Well done Sanna!

Latvia: Aarzemnieki - Cake to Bake
Aww! This song makes me so happy. This might sound weird but I want to hug them! I loved the song since the 1st time I heard it and I even voted for it in the latvian final with the internet vote so what can I say? I love them! Now lets sing:  CEP CEP CEP CEP CEP KUKU!

Iceland: Pollapönk - No prejudice
BANG! They were so good on stage! You could see how much they were enjoying those 3minutes and thats what this is all about, having fun on stage and doing a brilliant performance! Go Pollapönk!

The Netherlands: The Common Linnets - Calm After the Storm
I think we can say that they were the real winners of this year! Their song was the most successful song of this year and their album did very well in several countries. For the 2nd year in a row The Netherlands is my ESC winner! Congratulations to Ilse (The common linnets team) and Waylon!

Thats it! Thanks to every single person who was part of Eurovision 2014 and thank you for visiting my blog.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Albania 2015: ELHAIDA DANI!

Photo: Orsola Class Photography
After 3 brilliant nights of talented artists, here is the act that is going to represent Albania in Vienna:
CONGRATULATIONS ELHAIDA DANI!

Her performance in the final was 100 times better than in the semifinal and she looked gorgeous on that dress! Im not sure if I would like her to sing in english in Eurovision so please keep the song in albanian! Good luck Elhadia!

Now a big shout out to my other favorites:

Festivali i Këngës 53: Semifinal 1 - Results

Welcome to the 1st night of FiK post! Im going to start saying: GOOD JOB RTSH! I loved the show, the stage looked gorgeous, the orchestra was brilliant (They all deserve a standing ovation) and the acts were pretty good. Before the finalists I would like to give a shout out to 2 of the eliminated songs:

Offchestra - Bajram

BAJRAM! BAJRAM!

Revolt Klan - Më mungon

This was one of my biggest favorites of the night. They deserved to get in the final! I really like the song and they did a good performance! Well done guys! (Cant wait to listen the studio version)

Here are the 9 finalists:

Belarus 2015: Uzari & Maimuna

Here is the winner of Eurofest 2015: Uzari and Maimuna

I had no interest in Eurofest this year, none of the finalists were great and I didnt watch the final so all I can say is that I like Uzari, I think he is talented and I like Maimunas violin. The song is just ok (maybe a bit forgettable) but I guess they can work this out. Good luck Belarus!

The Netherlands 2015: Walk Along

The dutch entry was presented today and here it is:

I like it but I think its a very safe entry. The best part of it is definitely Trijntje's voice (Im sure her vocal performance will be great) but I dont think this will get lots of votes. . The thing with The Netherlands in Eurovision is that the Pre-Anouk era (2006-2011 *I liked You and me*) was horrible so of course this song is good if we compare it with them but Birds and Calm after the storm were so perfect that I cant help but feel disappointed. Good luck Trijntje!

Switzerland 2015: The finalists

Here are the 6 finalists of the swiss selection:

Licia Chery - Fly

Mélanie René - Time To Shine

Deborah Bough - Take me back to 23

Andy McSean - Hey Now

Timebelle - Singing About Love

Tiziana - Only Human

I cant believe this great song is not in the final! BOO to the "expert juries"!

I think this is a very safe group of songs and there is only one song that stands out from the rest and is the one I would like to see winning the selection: Singing about love by Timebelle! Good luck to everyone!
