Hello Cristina! Congratulations on winning the National selection! How are you?
Thank you, dear! Working hard!
How would you describe yourself as an artist?
I am very truthful to my music, I like what I sing and I like the people I work with, I grew from an insecure teenage singer to a very confident female performer and I am thankful for such challenges as Eurovision, they keep my career full of adventures.
You won the national selection and you are going to represent Moldova in Eurovision 2014, how did it all begin?
It began with a phonecall from my composer, Ivan Akulov, who asked me: "So, what's up? Are you ready for a new Eurovision song?"
Your song is called "Wild soul" and its written by Ivan Akulov & Lidia Scarlat. How was it to work with them?
We've been working together for many years. We all resonate with each other perfectly, I feel blessed to have them near me.

What did you feel the 1st time you heard it?I felt like "oh dear, this will be a complicated one". Then I started singing it and loved how much inner power it has.

What can you tell me about the official video of Wild soul?It was made with a very young team of filmmakers, BR Films. I love working with youngsters because they're always fun and have crazy enthusiasm and fill me up with energy. The music video is a metaphor for the power of each person's soul to rise above expectations. People are passers by through the big phenomenon of TIME, and we have to live this time we have fully and have no mercy for wasted hours.
Now lets talk about the Eurovision performance, what can we expect to see on stage?
It will not be what you saw in the Moldovan finals. We're shaping the concept around the feedback we received. So far, I can only tell you that you shouldn't miss watching my performance! :)
Tell me about the dress you wore in the national selection, are we getting a new version of it for Eurovision or something diferent?
The dress received loads of positive feedback, so we're keeping the concept of it. Some elements will change, though. To better :)
Have you heard any of the Eurovision 2014 songs? Any favorite?
I like Conchita's song, I think it will be a touching performance. I also like Romania's beautiful duet Paula & Ovi, they always bring a very magical vibe. But these are only first impressions. Eurovision is always full of surprises.

Tell me the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word:
Moon: obviously, Aliona!
Denmark: yaaaaaaaaaaay!
Stage: soul
Selfie: my brother, Mihai, all his pictures are selfies
Clones: Paula and Ovi and their cloned projections in the national finals.
Moldova: traditions, home.
Piano: Ivan Akulov, my composer, playing a new song.
Dreams: Eurovision!
