Slovenia 2019: Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl

The song that will represent Slovenia in Tel Aviv is called "Sebi" by Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl:

I don't think this is a competitive song but there is something very special about it. They created a cosmic atmosphere and that plus their kinda frail, innocent presence is gold and if they can recreate the same chill vibe on the ESC stage I could see them doing well.

The winner of EMA 2018 is Lea Sirk and her song "Hvala, ne"

She has a fun stage presence and I dont mind the quirky song but I'd revamp those instrumental breaks, right now they just feel flat.

I like Omar, but this song is super cheesy! I dont like it. (Stop was miles better than this)

Slovenia 2016: ManuElla

Here is the winner of EMA 2016: ManuElla with the song "Blue and red"

This is another "Why would I vote for it?" entry, the performance wasnt awful but the song is really bland. Maybe it will get better with a revamp but for now is a NO for me.

How would you describe yourself as an artist?
As an artist, I would describe myself as someone who always strives to make quality music and as someone who could never go past herself. I could never make music that I don't actually enjoy.

You are one of the participants of EMA 2016. How did it all begin?
I just decided that it's time for me to have an experience with EMA. Since the start of  last year, I knew I wanted to take part.

“Črno bel” is the title of your song, what’s the story behind it?
The song is in Slovene and in it, I play the harp. It is very different and even though the title is Črno bel ( Black and white), the song is very colorful.

Dynamic, strong, contrasting, beautiful.

What can we expect to see on stage for the performance?
Many surprises.

What do you like about Eurovision?
The huge stage!

What do you dislike about Eurovision?
I can't really think of anything.

How would you describe yourself as an artist?
When it comes to art and music I let myself go and do what falls in my mind at the moment. The best fragments of the song are later joint to make a sensible song.

You are one of the participants of EMA 2016. How did it all begin?
It was an easy decision. The producer Martin Bezjak is my good friend and we cooperate at some projects. One day Martin said if I would like to make a song for EMA2016 and I said yes.

“Tales of tomorrow” is the title of your song, what’s the story behind it?
Tales of tomorrow is a song about the future. It is a story about the people who take control of their lives and join in the making of a better world.

Brave, Optimistic, Future-minded, Spiritual.

What can we expect to see on stage for the performance?
I will be accompanied by one of the top Slovenian artist, Teoson, who will be drawing a graffiti during my performance. It will be a fantastic scene ;)

What do you like about Eurovision?
Songs and stage acts.

What do you dislike about Eurovision?
Gossips and bad language.

Tell me the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word:
Guitar: Melody.
Fire: And rain.

What are your plans for 2016?
To win the Eurovision :) And...
...Release an album with my band Leonart.
...Play in a Slovenian movie. We are filming it this summer.
...Probably play around 50 concerts through the year.
...Planing to go on a trip to Ireland to visit a good friend and probably have a few gigs there also :)

Tinkara was the EMA 2014 winner and she is going to represent Slovenia in Denmark!

Right now i dont dislike this but i think its a very forgettable song! Good luck Tinkara! Good luck Slovenia!

Rehearsals 2013: Day 5 - Slovenia

This song is very flat and even if the performance is not bad i cant see it getting a good result, also her vocals were bad in the last part.
