Italy 2019: Mahmood

The winner of Sanremo 69 is...MAHMOOD and he will represent Italy is Eurovision 2019!

After the 1st night of Sanremo 69 I had 2 big favorites and Soldi was one of them, so I'm extremely happy about him being a dark horse (he was on the red zone the 1st night) and winning the contest. I love his voice and he has such a lay back adorable and kinda sexy presence on stage that made fell in love with him that day after his 1st performance. I don't know how this will do in May but Italy will be one of my biggest favorites of this year. (If you like Soldi go check out his EP cause it has very good songs)

I didn't get this one when I heard it for the first time but it grew on me the next day and I love its lyrics.

Italy 2018: Ermal Meta & Fabrizio Moro

And the winners of the 68th edition of Sanremo are Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro, here is their song "Non mi avete fatto niente":

I wasnt cheering for any act in particular this year in Sanremo, but I did like a couple of songs including the one that won, however I dont know how I feel about all the "drama" around it. I think the song is good and I hope they find a way to keep its essence in 3 minutes.

Italy 2017: FRANCESCO GABBANI!

And the winner of Sanremo 2017 is... Occidentali's Karma by Francesco Gabbani!

ALÉ! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YEEEEESSSS! GRAZIE ITALIA! I cannot believe he won! I'll start saying that I really enjoyed this years Sanremo, and I had a couple of favorites in the line up but no one came close to Gabbani!. I fell in love with this entry by the end of its first chorus and when the song ended I thought "OMG THIS GUY IS A GENIUS!, I NEED HIM IN EUROVISION" and then I noticed that I wasnt the only one feeling that way. He is unbelievably charming and talented, you cant take your eyes away from the screen when he is performing, he has such a contagious energy that it makes you go crazy and dance like a naked gorilla, and the song is just phenomenal; you should check out the lyrics cause they are amazing (So clever and smart).
I know there will be some people who will call this a joke entry so I'll quote @ESCinsight : "You don't win #sanremo2017 with a joke entry. It's a FUN entry!". Im Team Gabbani all the way and I cant wait to see everyone doing the choreo in may. GO ITALY!

I was waiting for the Eurovision version of the song to post about it and Im glad I did cause back then after Sanremo I wasnt very impressed with the song but now I find it kind of adorable. Go Italy!

Italy 2015: Il Volo? - Grande Amore?

Sanremo 2015 was full of really nice songs and here are the winners: IL VOLO!

I like them but Im not a fan of the song and I wouldnt like a song like this one to win eurovision but I totally get the hype around this entry and I can see them doing really well in may. Good luck Italy! Good luck Il Volo!

Italy 2013: MARCO MENGONI!!!

This hot and talented boy is not only the winner of Sanremo 2014 but he is also the artist that is going to represent Italy in Eurovision 2013.

Im very happy with this selection! he is a very interesting singer and with the right song (IN ITALIAN PLEASE) i can see him doing very well in may. Also is going to be great for the popularity of the contest in Italy to have the sanremo winner in Eurovision. GO ITALY! GO MARCO!!

Italy 2012: NINA ZILLI!

Italy returned to Eurovision last year with Raphael Gualazzi and a great 2nd place in Düsseldorf, this year after Sanremo long nights and a never ending final they announced the artist that is going to represent them in Buku in may, who is it? NINA ZILLI, yaaaaaaaaay im sooo happy, she was one of my favorites of Sanremo this year and i really wanted them to select a big artist for eurovision and not a participant of the Giovani competition so i was really surprised and excited when they said her name.

Back to Nina!

We dont know yet what song is going to Eurovision, it can be Per sempre, a new song or a song from her new album "L'amore e femmina".
Her album is sooo good so im sure she is going to be on my super favorites and i also think that the juries are going to LOVE her.

My favorite song from her album is a 3min song so can this be her Eurovision song??

If her record company selects this song for Eurovision i think Rai should start thinking about the 2013 contest cause i can see her winning!!! Good luck to Nina Zilli and i hope she get the right song for Eurovision.
