Eurovision 2018 - Semifinal 2: Results

Semi 2 is over and here are my opinions about the results:

All the songs I liked in this semi qualified so there are no NQ shout outs.

THE FINALISTS

10. DENMARK: Rasmussen

1st thing I'll say is VIKINGS DONT WEAR EYELINER so they better fix that for the final. I still dont like the song and I thought the performance was kinda flat.

09. SERBIA: Sanja Ilić & Balkanika

This was actually a pretty solid performance!

08. AUSTRALIA: Jessica Mauboy

I really dislike this entry but I gotta say that even if I think the whole performance was a mess, it wasnt as awful as I thought it would be, I dont know if this makes any sense but I truly believe she left her heart on stage and that's what made the audience go wild in the arena.

07. MOLDOVA: DoReDos

Im still not a fan of this song but the perfomance was fun, I enjoyed it. (BTW: Moldova 17 >>>> 18)

06. THE NETHERLANDS: Waylon

This was a great performance, Waylon knows how to move on stage and his vocal perfomance was really good!

05. NORWAY: Alexander Rybak

I love Rybak and the whole act is good but I dont think this is going to win and Im okay with that cause he is much better than this song.

04. SLOVENIA: Lea Sirk

This was amazing! She sells this song so well and even if I didnt like the "technical problem" idea, it kinda worked. Good job, Lea!

03. SWEDEN: Benjamin Ingrosso

There's not much to say about this, I think Benjamin is adorable and the staging is impressive. Do I want it to win? Hmmm nah. Would I be okay if it wins? Yeah.

02. UKRAINE: MELOVIN

He has such a mysterious aura and it works perfectly for this song

01. HUNGARY: AWS

This is probably my favorite entry of 2018 and I would love to see this winning, but sadly I dont think it will happen, however I really hope they get a great result cause they fucking deserve it. The performance was strong but it didnt give me the winner alert vibes I was expecting, still this is a quality metal song and the guys are just brilliant so please vote for them on saturday! GO HUNGARY! GO AWS!

Norway 2018: Alexander Rybak

Rybak is back back back back again and this is the song he will sing in Lisbon: "That's how you write a song"

I love Rybak and even if my first reaction to the song was "WTF is this?", it grew on me very fast and  he is such a brilliant performer! Im glad he won MGP! (Cant see this doing well in ESC though)

New Video: Leave me alone - Alexander Rybak

Rybak is back with a new song that he wrote for a girl that called him more that 60 times everyday and even went  to his parents house in Norway which is very scary to be honest but if we look the positive side of this is that he wrote a very catchy song that i really love cause the lyrics are just great!. The dance tune goes really well with the song but i would like to listen a not dance Rybak violin version jaja.

The video is fun, some of the shots reminds me of a kinda soft version of American Horror Story Asylum jaja, so if you want to see a crazy Rybak here is the official video of his new single "Leave me alone":

I love Rybak but this video make me love him more hehe, he cant be that cute, im about to cry hehehe why cant i have him just for me? heheheh and the shirtless scenes in the video are like c'mon rybak stop teasing us! he has such a great body i cant believe it. Well thats enough, i love this new version of the song and i think its better than the english version.

Eurovision 2012: Light your fire!

Today the semifinal allocation draw took place in Baku and now we know the slogan, theme art, the venue and the countries that are going to participate in the Semifinal 1 & 2.

Today was an important day for Eurovision 2012, a lot of news and a lot of work to do.

The Crystal Hall arena was approved as the Eurovision 2012 venue.

Well i think we all expected the word fire to be in the slogan but i really like it and the theme art looks very good.

Now i wonder how 5 ex-yugo countries are in one semifinal, the pots are not made to avoid that?

There were some guest artists in the allocation draw, Aysel and Safura with playback and Nikki singing live whyy? it sounded worse than in may but Eldar sounded good. Alexander Rybak and Lena were the best of the night without a doubt. They are so charismatic, i love them.

I just love him.

Lena was fantastic.

After all this, i have to say that there are a lot of things to do but i like what we got right so i will light my fire and wish good luck to Azerbaijan and i hope we get a great show in may.

Harel Skaat - Tihiye li ahava

Its a nice song, but im not sure if im going to love it, he is an amazing artist and i love him but i guess i need to understand the lyrics to like the song more.

Alexander Rybak - Resan til dig

I love Rybak, he is looking cuter than ever. His new album its not my cup of tea but this song its not bad.

Kostas Martakis & Diana Diez - Sex Indigo

HE IS HOT and its a very good video, i cant wait to see him in Eurovision i hope he try again someday.

3JS - De Stroom

The official video of one of the songs that competed in the national selection this year.

Ruslana - Wow

This video is AMAZING, i love Ruslanas energy and what else can i say?, she is great.

Raphael Gualazzi - A three second breath

As i always said: He is so talented, cool song but i prefer madness of love.

Paradise Oskar - Sunday everyday

His album is good, i kinda like all the songs, this one is one of my favorites.

Eric Saade feat. J-son - Hearts in the air

This is his new single and he is working on 2 new albums and a tour, im happy with his success and im sure his album its going to be a good one to dance and listen nice pop music.

Sergey Lazarev - Heartbeat

He is other artist that i want in Eurovision soon, this has a nice tune but i want him on esc with some hard dance song.

Le Kid - America

Well this is kinda nice but i prefer Oh my god.

MGP 2011 - Keep of Kalessin & Alexander Rybak

Fantastic performance, a big round of applause. Keep of kalessin participated last year in the MGP with "The Dragontower" and we all know about Rybak. I love him.

Last day of 2010 - Thanks, 2010

Well lets continue with my favorites of 2010:

Eva Rivas - Apricot stone

Eva was very confident and did a wonderful performance, imo she deserved a top 5, i just love it, a round of applause for Armenia.

Juliana Pasha - It's all about you

She is so nice, i wanted Anjeza for Oslo but i also liked Juliana, Albania works very hard to make their entry much better for eurovision and they made it, fantastic song, cool performance a very strong stage presence and 3 fabulous backing vocals, Bravo Juliana.

Paula & Ovi - Playing with fire
 
This was the bomb of 2010, they played with fire and i loved it, fantastic song, great stage presence, amazing vocals, fabulous promo video, a huge round of applause for Romania and for them, they deserved the top 3, i was so happy for them, i would love to see Paula for Romania someday, i also want an album from them. By the way they are today hosting the Romanian National final, so good luck to all the artists competing and may the best win.

Hera Björk - Je ne sais quoi

There is not words to describe how happy she made me, her team was without a doubt the best one in Oslo.

They are so cool and kind, when Hera won the National final i was so happy for her and i really enjoyed every interview and performance of her. I was so nervous and excited before the semifinal performance and when the music started was so energetic, it was a magical performance, i really love it, she did a fabulous performance and it was my winner on that semifinal, she is another of the eurovision artists that will always be on the hearts of all the eurovision addicts, a standing ovation and the biggest round of applause for Hera and her team.

After the last song i definitely want to review the amazing opening by Alexander Rybak.

The opening of this year was so fantastic a round of applause for NRK and all the people who made it.
I loved  that version of Fairytale, and i love Rybak, he is great!

And of course one of the most unforgettable moments:

This idea was the best idea ever, there is no boundaries, we might not know each others but in that moment we were Eurovision fans and thats the most wonderful of Eurovision a lot of people united for the same thing, i think this was the best of 2010.

Lena - Satellite

I didnt followed the Unser Star Für Oslo, when i listened Satellite for the 1st time i liked it but when i watched the performance i loved it and it became in one of my favorites since that day, i really wanted her to win but i didnt expected, i dont know why but then a lot of countries gave her 12points and you can imagine how happy i was when she won. This song was the best of Eurovision 2010 and it was a hit on a lot of countries, love oh love. Now we have Lena for Düsseldorf, i really hope they can find the right song and make a great show in may.

Now all i can say is Thanks to all the eurovision webs for all the information and coverage in Oslo, a big round of applause for NRK, all the people that made the Eurovision 2010, all the artists, all the composers, Thanks to everybody!

And im ready for Düsseldorf, lets SMILE and be happy in this 2011, i hope great national finals, fantastic artists, fabulous songs and i hope to be in Germany on may, Happy New Year!!
