2011: National Selections (1)

Its the time of the year when i look back to remember and now lets remember some songs and performances that were part of the 2011 national selections, there are a lot of songs so this is going to be the part 1.

Eurovision Ukraine 2011: The running order of the final

Here it is, something i've been waiting so much, since october i followed all the heats and semifinals and tomorrow we will know who is going to represent Ukraine in Eurovision 2011.

I have a lot of favorites and i truly believe that Ukraine will be on a top 5 in Düsseldorf. I have no idea about who is going to win but i wish the best to all the participants. My favorites are Jamala, Anastasia Prikhodko, Daria Medova, Zlata Ognevich, Mika Newton, Vladislav Levitsky and Eduard Romanyuta. Of course i can say that i really want to Smile on Düsseldorf so vote for the right one tomorrow and maybe we will have Kiev 2012.

Eurovision Ukraine 2011 - Semifinal 2

The 2nd semifinal was today and it was much better than the 1st one, the finalists were the right ones and there were better shows.

1.Mika Newton - Angel

This is fantastic, she had a great show on the quarterfinals and she changed it to another fabulous show, 5 male dancers with wings and 5 mirrors, a beautiful dress and her hair looked better, i really love it. A big round of applause for Mika, she is amazing.

2.Ivan Berezovsky - Ave Maria

He has a very poor stage presence, but this time was a bit better than his first show. Unfortunately his vocals were very week. His voice doesnt sound good at all.

3.Shanis - Tsvetok

I like her a lot, she is a good singer and her dancers are hot, its the same show so i still like it, her vocals were good, maybe in the quarterfinal she sang better but still being a good performance.

4.Zaklyopki - Ou la la

These girls are here for the televote, they changed their outfits but they cant change their bad vocals, no dancers this time just the 3 girls trying to sing good, but sorry girls, it was very bad.

5.Elena Korneeva - Why didnt say goodbye

Her energy is so good, it was a great performance, she felt the song and the performance was very nice, so i dont have anything more to say, i love it.

6.Kristina Kim - Victim of my love


In the quarterfinals she was alone on stage, the jury told her she needed backing vocals and dancers for the next time and she did it. A different show with more energy for the dancers but i still thinking that her vocals and stage presence were weak, but at least she did something better.

7.Denis Povaliy - Aces high

I dont like, it was boring and his voice is very weak, i dont get why he get into the final.

8.Anastasia Prikhodko - Action

The performances of the 3 semifinals were recorded late at night on december 2/3. I think Anastasia recorded her performance at 3am or something like that, i felt her like "i dont care anything, i waited so much, i just wanna do this and go home" lol, i just love it, she is fantastic , she maybe doesnt have a lot of charisma but she looks strong on stage and her vocals are fantastic, i love her, i love her backing vocals, i love action, GO ANASTASIA!

Eurovision Ukraine 2011 - Heat 4

A lot of favorites in this semifinal with the perfect results

1.Alexander Kvarta - Ne somnevausya/Не сомневайся

What is this? his look is very bad, the song is not bad as his "dance" moves, this guy sings well but this is not for eurovision.

2.Valentin Levitsky - Love

I really like this song, he has a nice look, his vocals were ok and i think it was a nice performance.

3.DASH -

Jazzy kinda sexy song, her vocals were good, weak stage presence and the song is too boring.

4.Zlata Ognevich - The kukushka/ The Kукушка

I dont know what to say with this song...Ku ku, its very weird in a good way. She is an amazing singer, i like it, the performance was crazy like the song in some parts too messy but it was interesting, im not sure if i want to see this winning.

5.Anastasia Prikhodko - Action

I love this song, its very modern and it makes me dance. Anastasia is great, her voice is so different and powerful, the performance was too static, i think it needed some "action!" but the last part was absolutely fabulous.

6.Mika Newton - Angel/Ангел

What a fantastic performance, the dancers were great, her vocals were good and i love her angelical look. The song imo is just ok maybe too boring for ESC, but overall was nice.

7.Mila Nitich - Goodbye

This one is good too, i like this song and she did a nice performance, but there were better songs/artists in this semifinal, good luck to her with the televote.

Anastasia Prikhodko ESC'11 song "Action"

Today was the premiere of the Anastasia Prikhodko new song "Action", this song is in the 4th semifinal of the Ukrainian National Selection. Will she represent Ukraine next year? or we will see Action representing Russia in Dusseldorf?, i will say what i think about the song on sunday. High expectations for the 4th semifinal, we will see there some of the favorites like Zlata Ognevich and Mika Newton.
